Hotel Ella
Bygone elegance ($$)
This boutique hotel is tucked into the Goodall Wooten House, built between 1898 and 1900 by local doctor, and son of a founder of the University of Texas, Goodall Wooten and his wife, Ella.
The home’s elegance and style have stood the test of time, with grand columns, a wide front porch, and the it’s original artwork, including a sculpture garden showcasing pieces from the Umlauf family, still on display.
Over the years, a pool, restaurant, and annex with additional rooms have been added to the property; inquire before you book.
