Live Music

Austin isn’t called the “Live Music Capital of the World” for nothing. In fact, live music is so popular in Austin that the lines between bars, music venues, and late-night restaurants can get a little blurry. The selections below are well-located and well-loved Austin favorites.
Clubs such as Antone's, Continental Club, and Stubb's book top-shelf talent and larger venues like the Paramount Theatre and the Long Center are must-play stops on national tours.
You can catch up-and-comers all around town at casual eateries - Banger's or Güero's Taco Bar, for example. Stop in for a drink at the Cedar Street Courtyard, brush up on your Texas Two Step at the Broken Spoke or plug into the Austin City Limits Festival (ACL) for a full week of all the music you can listen to.
