Australian National Botanic Gardens
An encyclopaedia of native flora
You’ll be traversing the continent at Canberra’s National Botanic Gardens, home to the most extensive display of Australian native species in the world.
Themed walking trails weave through sections that include rainforests and Outback desert. The 1.4km Main Path Loop offers an overview of the highlights, while the steeper 3km Bushland Nature Walk offers sweeping views of Canberra (wear comfy walking shoes).
Consider taking one of the fantastic, free guided tours (1hr) of the grounds; tours depart from the visitor centre at 11am and 2pm daily.
