MoVida is famed nationally for its inspired twists on Spanish aperitivos, tapas, raciones and postres. Steering the place is renowned chef Frank Camorra, who showcases top-tier Aussie produce in options like charcoal-cooked South Australian abalone with pear and preserved finger lime, or roasted spatchcock paired with prunes and Jerusalem artichoke purée.
Next door is MoVida’s more casual, walk-in tapas bar MoVida Next Door. While the shorter, simpler menu doesn’t include MoVida’s cult-status anchoa (anchovy and smoked tomato sorbet on crisp bread), its own standouts include flawless croquetas, best washed down with a quality sherry or two.
MoVida’s spin offs also include Movida Aqui in central Melbourne and MoVida Lorne on the Great Ocean Road.
