Marble Canyon
Busy and short waterfall & canyon walk
An easy and very popular trail (30mins • 1.6km return) over a series of log bridges across Tokumm Creek leads to Marble Canyon, a gorge that’s been steadily eroded for the last eight milenia to produce a 600m-long and 37m-deep gorge below a thundering waterfall.
The glossy rock mistakenly once called marble is really limestone. No matter, it’s still attractive, particularly in winter, when snow and ice line the canyon with furious formations.
