Kootenay & Radium Visitor Centre

Park & town info service

Sharing quarters and even a desk here are the Radium Hot Springs’ Visitor Information and the Kootenay National Park Visitor Centre. Between the two they should be able to answer all park and town related queries.

You can also get all park passes and permits here and be sure to pick up the free Backcountry Guide to Kootenay National Park, which is all you need for most walks. There’s also a small natural history exhibit on site

Like the other Rockies national parks, Kootenay has a “Friends” organization (friendsofkootenay.com), a charity which runs activities which included guided walks that can be booked at the centre. The walks span from easy 1hr 30min jaunts to more serious 5hr treks.

The centre also has several terminals for internet access (fee) & wifi (fee)
