Bertha Lake

Classic half-day hike: 4.5hrs/11km/moderate

The classic Bertha Lake Trail is a short, steep hike involving 500m ascent to a busy but remarkably unspoilt mountain-fringed lake.

Once at the lake there’s also an easy trail that runs right around its shores (adding another 5km to the trip).

If you’re not up to either of the above, you can just do the first part of the Bertha Lake trail as far as Lower Bertha Falls (return hike: 5.6km; 150m ascent; 1.5hr).

The trailhead is on Evergreen Drive.
