The Lanes
Situated close to the seafront, the Brighton Lanes consist of a maze of ancient alleyways and narrow passages.
Originally a fishing village, these days the area is a popular tourist attraction with its antique and jewellery stores, galleries, restaurants and pubs.
It's a fascinating area to mooch around; hang out in cafes and soak up the atmosphere and also take in some architecture. Many of the original historical features have been retained on the shop fronts and pubs.
