Kemptown
East of the city centre, Kemptown extends from the Palace Pier to Brighton Marina and a couple of blocks back from the seafront. With its regency style houses, elegant squares and numerous coffee shops, it has an appealing village vibe.
St. James Street which comprises of a vibrant array of pubs, cafes, shops and restaurants is at the core of Kemptown and is also where the majority of the city's LGBTQ venues can be found. The Pride Party is held here every year when thousands of revellers throng the streets.
Otherwise one of the area's major draws for visitors is the Brighton Flea Market.
