Duke of York's Picturehouse
Traditional Cinema
Dating back to 1910, this cinema provides a breath of fresh air in a world of multiplexes. Easily identified by a pair of giant legs on the roof, the lovely picturehouse is a Grade II listed building.
A combination of mainstream, indie and foreign films are shown here and you can enjoy them with a beer or glass of wine from the cafe/bar.
The cinema is a twenty minute walk from North Laine/Royal Pavilion along London Road. Buses 5, 5a and 5b all stop opposite the Duke of Yorks and can be caught from Western Road/North Road in the city centre.
