Aitutaki Food & Drink

Aitutaki presents a limited number of eating options. Remember, this is an island of only 1800 people.

Resorts

Resorts have at least one restaurant for guests, with the only real fine dining option on Aitutaki being Rapae Restaurant at Aitutaki Pacific Resort.

Tamanu Beach Restaurant & Bar and the Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill at Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort are also good.

Some of the resorts are also a good bet for an Island Night which involves a feast as well as a show.

Cafes & bars

On a more casual level, there are a number of cafes and bars around the island. Avatea Cafe gets top marks and The Boat Shed Bar & Grill is a popular pub-style place.

Takeaways

There are a number of ‘Takeaways’ around Aitutaki that are well frequented by locals and are good budget options. We’ve included two here - Kai Tari Takeaway and our wildcard pick Mango Takeaway, which offers cheap, top-notch eating options.
