Croatia In-10-Days

Whistle-stop tour

Croatia

There’s no way you can see all that Croatia has to offer in ten days but you can fit in an extraordinary amount of variety if you choose your territory shrewdly. The ten-day tour outlined here concentrates on Zagreb and Dalmatia; extending your stay to include more of the coast, or more of the islands, is highly recommended if you have the time.

Day 1: Zagreb

Zagreb is an eminently strollable place and it doesn’t take long to get to grips with the city. Our Zagreb In-A-Day itinerary makes a good introduction to the city.

Day 2: Plitvice Lakes

Whether you’re travelling by public transport or your own vehicle, you should be sure to make an early start for the Plitvice Lakes National Park; you’ll need at least 5 hours to get the best of its lakes and falls. Our Plitvice In-A-Day itinerary will give a good idea of where to start. There are snack bars in the park; but it’s still a good idea to take picnic fare and plenty of water. You should be able to carry on to Zadar on the same day; although sleeping in BnB accommodation near the park and continuing your journey the following morning is also possible.
