Antika, Stari Grad
Mediterranean flair
The progress of Hvar’s second town Stari Grad is eloquently paralleled by Antika, a quirky local secret that has rocketed to become a firm tourist favourite.
With a tiny indoor restaurant space and an upstairs cafe-bar, both decked out in domestic nick-racks and lived-in furnishings, Antika offers a wide range of Mediterranean cooking, from bruschettas and pasta dishes to delectable grilled fish and seafood, idiosyncratically served in metal bowls.
Located in a narrow alley edged by traditional stone houses, Antika’s outdoor seating stretches out into the adjoining piazza in summer. It’s popular, so be prepared to wait.
