Eden Project
Unforgettable eco attraction
The Eden Project delivers one of Cornwall’s best days out. And as well as delighting with a unique sensory experience, these massive space-age greenhouses also get key eco messages across.
From China clay pit to multi-million pound tourism attraction – the Eden Project is a remarkable story of transformation. As you stroll along walkways snaking through two immense biomes, huge trees tower overhead; the temperature shifts and the air fills with exotic scents.
Mediterranean Biome
The thermostat in the Mediterranean Biome is set at 9–25°C making it comfy for plants from South Africa, California, parts of Australia and Chile as well as the Med. As you wander look out for Australian grass trees, huge citron fruits, spiky aloe veras and sculptures dotted among the vines.
