Croyde & Croyde Beach
Surfer chic meets family fun
Facing the prevailing Atlantic swell, north coast Croyde is Devon’s premier surf beach. It’s also one of the county’s most appealing - a curling bay backed by tall dunes.
The powerful waves and swathes of sand make it a popular beach for both hard-core surfers and holidaying families. They’ve also brought a range of surf schools and places to hire kit to neighbouring Croyde village.
The village has B&Bs, seasonal campsites (book early), cafes and one of Devon’s best surfer hangouts - the legendary Thatch pub.
