Babbacombe Cliff Railway
Ride a 1920's carriage down cliffs
The Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been rattling up and down a short stretch of Torbay cliffs for more than 90 years.
The compact carriages trundle down 220 metres of track, revealing views of an ever closer Oddicombe Beach below. The trip is over in minutes but is irresistible non the less.
The return leg saves a short steep hike up the hill – a bell is rung 15 minutes before the last car of the day.
