Spring: Mar, Apr & May

Swallowtail on Dame's Violet.

Temperatures can tend to rise steadily from early March onwards, although in recent years there been some very cold snaps and even outbreaks of snow.

Winds can be quite strong, especially on the coast. April and May can be more showery, as well as long periods of sunshine.

Be prepared for all types of weather - it can vary between cold and quite hot at times!

Leisure and tourist attractions generally reopen at the end of March, with opening hours steadily lengthening throughout April especially during the school holidays.

The Norfolk & Norwich Art & Music festival attracts lots of visitors in May.
