Mikkel Museum

Arts & crafts

Over on the opposite side of the road from the Kadriorg Art Museum, Kadriorg Palace’s former kitchen building now houses the Mikkel Museum (Mikkeli muuseum).

The collection, donated by prominent Estonian collector Johannes Mikkel, features paintings, engravings and sculptures from Estonia, Western Europe, Russia and the Far East dating back to the sixteenth century. Intricate Chinese porcelain from the Qianlong period (1736–95) is one of the highlights.
