Aegli Cafe

Stylish cafe in Zappion Gardens (b,l; €€)

P1000869

Aegli Cafe can be found in Zappion Gardens very near the Zappion Hall

It offers stylish in and outdoor seating on chairs or couches and whilst the international and traditionally Greek lunch and dinner menu is on the pricy side, it’s worth it for its surroundings and views to Lycabettus Hill and the Acropolis.

It’s one of the most historic cafes in Athens with more than 200.000 visitors each year. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself rubbing shoulders with the intellectual, artistic and financial elite of Athens and among its customers are prominent personalities from the world of art, business, politics as well as many celebrities who enjoy the cafe’s fresh homemade sweets and ice creams as well as Greek traditional dishes.

Stop off for a bite to eat for lunch or a cool glass of wine, beer or a traditional Greek coffee.

Next door is the popular summer Open Air Cinema showing latest Hollywood hits or old favourites.
