Fastest way to get around Hong Kong

The fastest way to get around Hong Kong is with its modern, efficient and clean MTR (Mass Transit Railway), which shuttles 4 million passengers a day on routes running from huge satellite towns in the New Territories through Tsim Sha Tsui and under the harbor to Hong Kong Island.

The Network

Its 11 train and subway lines are color-coded and easy to use, with the next station displayed above each compartment door and announced in English. MTR also operates a Light Rail network in the New Territories used mainly by commuters but useful also for visiting the Hong Kong Wetland Park, as well as the Airport Express. Best of all, there’s free Wi-Fi in every MTR station, though it’s limited to 15 minutes per session, with a maximum of five sessions per day for each device.
