aqua spirit

Highballs in Tsim Sha Tsui (d; $$)

You’ll be rubbing elbows with a sophisticated crowd at stylish aqua spirit perched on the 30th floor, where a wall of glass reveals stunning views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. Circular booths and plush bar stools are a comfy place to imbibe on designer cocktails like the Wild Orchid with passion fruit and pineapple shaken with rum, absinthe and lime, but most likely you’ll have to settle for one of the chest-high tables in this very popular but small place. A DJ gets things pumping Wednesday to Saturday nights from 10pm.

By the way, the elevator delivers you to the 29th floor (home to aquaroma/aquatoky serving–you guessed it–Japanese and Italian fare), but you’ll take the stairs to the bar above. Or, for Chinese food, on the 28th floor of the same building is Hutong.
