Brown County State Park
Hills, forests & streams
Drive across the 1838 double spanned wood covered bridge (the oldest in the state) leading into Brown County State Park – the state's largest park, full of winding lands and rolling hills.
In the fall, the hills are carpeted with autumn colors and there's always some goblins and ghosts in the woods around Halloween. Stay at the Abe Martin Lodge, an old time timber inn with a great stone fireplace and named after the cartoon character who helped make Brown County famous.
Mountain biking
Cyclists might want to take advantage of the park's 20 miles of steep and looping trails that give it title of the "Mecca for Midwest mountain biking."; indeed, the park's highest point, Weedpatch Hill, is over 1000 feet.
Water park
Or get wet at the park's 12,000 square foot Aquatic Center which features slides, waterfalls, dump buckets, a water channel and Jacuzzi. For those with their own horses, the park also has riding trails.
