Whitewater Valley Railroad
More than a century of travel
The White Water Valley Railroad, which ran between Connersville to Hagerstown until 1890, is up and running again, taking tourists from Connersville, Indiana to Old Metamora, a five hour round trip that includes a two hour layover in Metamora. The train trip follows both the Whitewater River and the canal most of the way.
Besides offering everyday passenger jaunts, the railway also features special departures like their Day Out with Thomas for fans of Thomas the Tank Engine, Ride the Statesman with Abraham Lincoln, the Wild West Train, an Easter Bunny Train and a Mother's Day Train.
