Business Hotels ビジネスホテル

Save some ¥¥ by staying in a ‘bizunesu hoteru’

Day 4: Fukuoka

Expect Western-style, no-frills, clean, small rooms at these hotels that have private bathrooms and originally targeted businessmen away from home.

Prices make them attractive to budget travellers however, and you can find rooms upwards from around ¥5,000 for a single, ¥6,000 for a double. Better places with bigger rooms charge more.

Business Hotels are generally close to train stations or road interchanges and come in chains, some operators with locations all over Japan.

Check out these popular chains - Super Hotel, Toyoko Inn, Dormy Inn, Route Inn and APA Hotels. There are lots more, with many on the booking search engines.

Some chains compete by offering free breakfast or a large onsen-style bath (daiyokujō) for the use of guests.
