San Pedro el Viejo
Ancient city centre church
Founded in the fourteenth century by Alfonso XI to celebrate his victory over the Moors at the Battle of Algeciras, San Pedro el Viejo is one of the city's oldest churches, though most of it was rebuilt three hundred years later.
Its Mudéjar tower stands on the site of one of an old mosque.
