Iglesia de Santa Bárbara
Elaborate society church
The Iglesia Santa Bárbara was once part of the Las Salesas Reales convent, founded back in 1748 by Portuguese princess Bárbara de Bragança who married Spanish king Fernando VI.
The tombs of the two monarchs lie within the elaborately decorated church together with that of Spanish military hero and politician General O'Donnell who, as his name suggests, was of Irish origin.
