Nomad
Modern Moroccan cuisine (l,d; $$–$$$)
Nomad is a cool little restaurant serving modern Moroccan cuisine. The dishes here are based in local cooking, but an update on the traditional grub you get elsewhere, with a lot of gluten-free and vegan options.
Starters include a mezze platter (70dh) or a sardine tart with tapenade (90dh). For mains, you can get gluten-free couscous (made from sorghum and quinoa, 130dh), or squid from Agadir with a sauce of harissa, anchovies and cumin, and accompanied by braised aubergine (160dh). For dessert they do a range of exotically flavoured ice-creams and sorbets (50dh).
The kitchen, on the ground floor, is open, and you go upstairs to eat in the salon, or out on the terrace with views over the Medina.
It’s a good idea to make a reservation if you want to eat here. It's located just off the Rahba Kedima. Note that alcohol is not served.
