Taxis
There are two sorts of taxis in Marrakesh: a petit taxi (up to three passengers in town, metered) or a grand taxi (up to six passengers, in or out of town, unmetered).
You can charter a taxi for a day, which is quick and easy for sightseeing, but if you do that, you’ll need to be completely clear with the driver in advance about exactly what you want (including waiting times), and agree a price before you start.
Cab drivers don’t necessarily expect tips, but always appreciate them. Typically a tip is of the "keep the change" variety.
Petits taxis
For getting around town, you’ll most likely want a petit taxi. Petits taxis are beige, usually hatchbacks, carry up to three passengers and can operate only within the city limits. You can hail them in the street or find them at taxi ranks around town.
