Accommodation

Marrakesh has a wide range of accommodation to suit most budgets, from cheap little budget hotels to super-chic riads and chain package hotels.

There are still plenty of budget hotels in Marrakesh, especially in the backstreets south of the Jemaa el Fna, but most tourists will will want to stay in a riad, which is an upgraded old Medina house.

People with special needs may require a big chain hotel, most of which are in the Hivernage neighbourhood. There are also a few mid-range hotels, mostly in downtown Guéliz, and a handful of genuine five-star deluxe hotels.

Marrakech 2007

Almost everybody will want to stay in the Medina. That's where the main sights are, and it's the part of Marrakesh that you've come here to see.
