Cafés

Cafés

Montreal doesn't have Parisian cafe-culture, but locals are as partial to delicious cakes and pastries and high-quality bakers are easy to find.

Two local chains Au Pain Doré and Première Moisson are particularly popular and worth seeking out for their quality and variety.

Otherwise this very selective list includes more offbeat alternatives - the similar Starbucks, Second Cup and Presse Cafe chains are easily found around town, as are branches of Tim Hortons, Canada's favorite budget cafe chain.
