Stash Café

Rustic polish place (l,d; $$)

It's good to see an ethnic bistro thriving in a district where mostly bland tourist fare rules... and with its stylish exposed stone walls and wooden beams, Stash has been bucking the trend for over three decades.

It serves delicious and filling Polish food, such as bigos, a cabbage-and-meat stew; krokiety, meat and veg-filled pancakes; placki, potato pancakes served with sour cream; and of course a variety of pierogis.
