Jean Talon Market
Montreal's finest indoor market
Jean Talon Market has the feel of a large (over 100 stalls) indoor farmer's market. It specialises in fruits and vegetables, but has much more besides and is particularly strong on Quebec foods including breads, pates, cheeses, honey and maple syrup.
Look out for the crepe stall for a great snack on the fly.
The market provides a hub for Little Italy, the Montreal neighbourhood to which Italian immigrants once flocked, though today there's very little evidence of this.
