Frank’s
And Frank's Outback (d; $$$)
Frank’s is in the site of a 1930s market and is one of the best south end dining choices with a huge reputation for fine dining, and Frank’s Outback is a separate spot actually located out back.
The food is upscale and creative featuring beef, duck, chicken or seafood, and the separate chophouse menu is popular for steak lovers.
Outback seats 45 for intimate white tablecloth dining or 100 outdoors under the trees with a fireplace when needed. A similar menu is in Outback with plenty of terrific beef and seafood entrees and an additional wood fired pizza menu.
The wine list is impressive, even for most wine snobs. Expect to possibly meet some of them here too.
