ANZAC Day
War remembrance day (25 Apr)
Observed on 25 April - the date coinciding with the initial landings at Gallipoli in 1915 – Anzac Day dawn services are held throughout the country.
ANZAC stands for Australia New Zealand Army Corps and Anzac Day is New Zealand’s war remembrance day – and a national holiday.
The biggest dawn service is at the Cenotaph before Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Attend a dawn service if you get the chance.
