Parc Phoenix
An oasis adjacent to Nice Airport
Located close to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport just off the Promenade des Anglais this horticultural and recreational oasis is well worth visiting.
Home to 500 species of plants, some very rare, and also to one the world’s largest glasshouses, a 25m/82ft high pyramid named the ‘Green Diamond’ with over 7000 square metres of space.
There are also many animal species here including otters, wallabies, tarantulas, iguanas, pelicans and owls all enjoying this pleasant green space with its large lake. There is a snack bar, the ‘Coté Jardin Snack‘ where various refreshments including light meals are served.
For children there are events throughout the year during the school holidays and in addition there are slides, a seesaw and spring toys.
Tip: It can be difficult to find the entrance which is not from the Promenade des Angais but from the avenue Charles Buchet. There is a car park at ‘Sémiacs au Parking de l’Arénas’ and you can approach the Parc from the parking through the high modern office buildings. Buses 9, 10 & 13 run to the Parc and if you get the train get off at Gare St Augustin.
