Buchanan & Sauchiehall Streets

Glasgow’s most famous streets

Sauchiehall Street

Buchanan Street joins with Sauchiehall Street (pronounced: Sockie-hall) at its northern end and between them they form Glasgow's core shopping streets.

Both are lined with chain stores, but there’s a nice buzz about this pedestrianized zone all the same. Some of the ritizest high-end shopping is in the glamourous Princes Square Shopping Centre.

There's also a branch of the Willow Tea Rooms on each street, offering a stylish pick-me-up after a bit of shopping.
