Week-long celebration of the Basque bean

The humble Tolosa bean enjoys a week-long gastronomic festival of its own in November.
Bean stews are served up from huge vats along the streets, bars serve up bean-based tapas, there are cooking competitions, tasting sessions and music all in honour of a bean that has been granted its own Denominación de Origen as a mark of its quality.
