Uva
Grape

Mostly used for wine production, but Spain also produces some excellent table grapes too. Grapes are traditionally eaten on the chimes of midnight to usher in the new year.
Of the Spanish red wine grapes, Tempranillo is the most widely grown. The Mencia and Garnacha varieties have become fashionable in recent years for their fruity, aromatic wines.
For white wines, Airén, Verdejo, Palomino and Albariño are very popular, while for sweet wines Moscatel is the king.
