Som tam at Eathai, Bangkok

Need an introduction to Thai food? A visit to Eathai is a great place to start, with a fantastic variety of choices—rice, noodles, curries and desserts—all at reasonable prices.

There’s plenty of Thai street food on offer, including the famous phad thai–a stir-fry of noodles, beansprouts, shrimps, spring onions, peanuts, tofu and much more. Som tam is another popular dish—an explosion of spicy taste and crunchy texture of green papaya and carrots.

It’s a handy place to unwind and recharge after visiting the nearby Erawan Shrine or shopping in Central Embassy itself.
