Fresh markets

Unless you’re self-catering or studying Thai cooking, you may not need to go shopping in the fresh markets that you’ll find in every town and village.

However, they are worth visiting for the wonderfully strange sights and smells that you’ll encounter among the produce on display, and you’re unlikely to leave without sampling a juicy mango or a refreshing coconut juice.
