Shops & Shopping

Of course you’re going to want to take away a memento of your time in Greece. Monastiraki and Plaka are the places to head to for cheap souvenirs, probably made in China.

Kolonaki is the district to head to for upscale clothes shopping such as Armani or Chanel, whereas Ermou Street is one of the busiest shopping streets of Athens, running for nearly a mile from the Keramikos–old Gas District–area of Athens through Monastiraki all the way up to Syntagma Square.

The majority of it is pedestrianised with a plethora of international brand name fashion stores such as Mac cosmetics, Spanish fashion designer DeSigual and Zara plus a huge H&M, to name but a few.
