Uchiko
Gourmet Japanese (d; $$$)
After the success of his first restaurant, Uchi, Chef Tyson Cole went on to open a second, Uchiko.
The look and feel here is very “Japanese farmhouse,” and everything from the decor to the menu embodies a down-to-earth simplicity.
The wagyu beef seared over Japanese river rock, the brussels sprouts with lemon chile, and the fried milk dessert are outstanding and don’t hold back when ordering from the sushi and sashimi menu.
A charming spot for a special meal.
