Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA)
Australia's largest gallery of modern art
GOMA is Brisbane’s alpha art museum, hosting top-tier exhibitions of contemporary art. There’s a focus on Australian, Pacific Islander and Asian works, spanning everything from painting, photography and sculpture, to site-specific installations and video art.
Its in-house Australian Cinémathèque film centre is one of Brisbane’s best-kept secrets, with an eclectic (oft-free) program of rare, cult and classic films that complement the current exhibitions.
Also onsite are a notable, design-orientated gift store, a well-regarded modern Australian restaurant and a breezy, riverside cafe.
