Queensland Art Gallery (QAG)
Australian masters & East Asian ceramics

Older sibling of nearby GoMA, riverfront Queensland Art Gallery houses both Australian and international artworks. Highlights of the relatively modest international cachet include historic East Asian ceramics and Japanese prints.
The collection of Australian art is much fuller, with works by masters like Sidney Nolan, Russell Drysdale, Charles Blackman and Margaret Olley.
There’s a solid selection of Indigenous Australian artworks, including paintings by Arrernte artist Albert Namatjira. A pioneer of contemporary Indigenous painting, Namatjira was the first Indigenous person granted conditional Australian citizenship in 1957.
