Accommodation
Barbados has a range of accommodation though far more at the upper end of the scale, from boutique hotels or luxury all-inclusives to spectacular villas with private pool and personal butler.
That said, there are some more modest hotels and condominiums for rent, and even the occasional eco-lodge on the island.

Budget offerings are few and far between. Barbados has no hostels or campsites, so trawling Air BnB, or couchsurfing, is probably your best bet for finding inexpensive lodgings. US$120–180 for a basic B&B double room would be excellent value in high season. Self-catering is another more economical option (from US$700/per week for two). That said, low-season package deals on some three-star resorts (including flights from North America/Europe and breakfast or self-catering facilities) can work out to be cheaper overall than paying for flights, accommodation and meals separately (e.g. US$1500pp/sharing for 7 nights in Sept or Oct), given that dining out is costly in Barbados.
