Tropical Garden
Orchids, wind chimes & restful picnic benches
Tropical Garden (formerly Orchid World) still retains a number of orchids though is now widening its range to broaden its appeal. At a slight elevation, on the site of an old chicken farm, the gardens are set among coralstone landscaping punctuated with wind chimes, and offer pleasant views across the cane fields of Sweet Vale. There are plenty of benches throughout.
Although very pleasant, if you only have time for one garden, you’ll probably find Andromeda Gardens, the Flower Forest or Hunte’s Gardens more compelling.
A well-stocked gift shop and a delightful terrace café (only selling cold drinks – pictured above) round off the experience.
Note: While the paths are slightly uneven, much is wheelchair accessible.
