Golf
From exclusive to inclusive ...

The fact that Tiger Woods got married in Barbados – at Sandy Lane – should tell you that the island possesses some top-drawer golf courses.
Indeed, Sandy Lane itself boasts three: the Old Nine and the Country Club – both open to non-residents at a cost – and the international-level Green Monkey, carved out of a quarry (see below), which is exclusively for hotel guests. Royal Westmoreland is also fairly exclusive and the equally prestigious. Apes Hill (boasting both 18-hole and 9-hole courses) is only open to members and guests.

More affordable, but just as enjoyable for the average social golfer, are two flattish courses in the southern part of the island: nine holes at Rockley (with alternative tees to make an 18-hole course) and eighteen holes at the Barbados Golf Club. The latter offers reduced rates for visitors staying at partner hotels.
