SeaCat

Super fresh fish (d; $$)

A casual place to eat deliciously fresh seafood at affordable prices. Plus, the catch is almost straight out of the boat onto the plate – especially the daily specials.

The exterior is inauspicious – a simple painted wooden hut with aluminium roof (the open kitchen), and a small enclosed yard at the back (the restaurant), where surroundings are cosy but rustic: walls of bamboo (plus more aluminium) enlivened by fairy lights and tropical plants. Service is friendly, but can be slow when busy – be prepared to down a few cold Banks or rum punch while waiting for your meal.

Make sure you try the super breadfruit or cassava chips, which make a change from regular fries. Altogether a top choice!
