Restaurants & Eating
Eating options are plentiful, varied and generally high quality in Barbados – but not cheap, even at the more informal places, given that many foodstuffs are imported. Best value is some Bajan fare – a catch of the day or chicken with breadfruit or fries at a rum shop. Fish frys, such as those at the Bay Gardens in Oistins, are also a good bet, as are take-aways. Up a notch are the lite bites available at various cafés. There’s also a host of lively restaurants as well as romantic waterside dining at establishments boasting top-notch chefs.
A leisurely Sunday breakfast or brunch out is gaining in popularity on the island.
