Open Kitchen

Chic pizza, salads & wine (b,l,d; $$)

Away from the coast, Open Kitchen provides casual contemporary chic dining, in air-conditioned comfort, in a stylish home decor store – adorned with modern chandeliers, and eclectic, stylish furnishings. The cuisine is essentially Italian with a full tasty vegan menu and delicious (though pricey) pizzas, using locally sourced, organic ingredients where possible. A popular weekday lunch venue transforms into a busy evening restaurant at weekends.

Only non-alcoholic beverages are available, though you can pop next door to the adjoining wine shop to purchase a glass (from around BD$18) or bottle (from around BD$48) of superior fare to bring to the table.

Healthy breakfasts cost from around BD$25, such as avocado toast, omelettes and fruit bowls.

Note: Take-aways are also possible.
